Mr. Forman founded Forman Capital, LLC in 2004 and has spearheaded its successful growth since. In 2016 Forman Capital entered into a partnership with Trez Capital Group LP to form Trez Forman Capital Group LP. Prior to founding Forman Capital, Mr. Forman was a Principal at Sylvan Ventures, LP (a joint venture between Apollo Advisors and Sylvan Learning Systems), a $350 million venture capital firm. Mr. Forman spent five years in the retail business as President & C.O.O. of FEI, Inc. and County Seat Stores. Mr. Forman concentrated on real estate and retail transactions when he worked in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at Bear Stearns & Co. Mr. Forman graduated University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School with a B.S. in Economics and a concentration in Real Estate Finance. Mr. Forman serves as Chairman on the Foundation Board of the Achievement Centers for Children and Families in Delray Beach, FL.
Noah Silver, CPA, CMA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Silver is works with the financial aspects of our deal and business operations. He reports directly to Brett Forman, President & CEO of Trez Forman, and communicates with senior executives at Trez Capital. Noah joins us with over 30 years of experience in high-level financial environments. Noah recently joins us from Transworld Investment Corp, where he spent 16 years as their Chief Financial Officer. At his time with Transworld, he built private banking and investment activities. He concentrated on the financial operations and information systems of the company, its subsidiaries, and its affiliates. He was responsible for the due diligence efforts of various investment opportunities, oversight of operating business, and real estate and financial investments. Noah was also responsible for, and managed, public equity and debt transactions including mergers & acquisitions, financings, and periodic statements. Noah also spent 4 years as Division President, Assistant Vice President and Controller of DryClean USA and 11 years as Assistant Vice President, Assistant Treasurer at The Horn and Hardart Company. Noah holds Masters of Accounting (MACC) degrees, in Accounting and Finance from Florida Atlantic University
Sharon Atkinson, CPA, CCIM, CMA
Director of Asset and Portfolio Manager
Ms. Sharon Atkinson serves as Director of Asset and Portfolio Manager at Forman Capital. A native of North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ms. Atkinson brings over 25 years experience in commercial real estate to Forman Capital. The breadth of her experience includes: CPA for KPMG Peat Marwick and Ernst & Young Senior Corporate Tax Specialist for an international general contracting/commercial real estate development firm, Chief Financial Officer for a successful Florida commercial real estate developer & property management firm, and Independent Consultant to commercial real estate investors. Ms. Atkinson holds CPA licenses in both Florida and North Carolina and the distinguished CCIM designation. Ms. Atkinson also holds Florida real estate and CAM licenses.
Mr. Ring is an Associate in Forman’s Boynton Beach office responsible for underwriting and closing real estate debt and equity investments. Prior to joining Forman Capital, Mr. Ring worked for KPMG in their Economic and Valuation Services group specializing in real estate. During his time with KPMG he prepared and assisted in valuation and consulting studies involving various commercial real estate property types including multi-family, hotels, office, industrial, retail, residential developments, mixed-use, and undeveloped land. Previously, he worked as a commercial real estate sales associate with Marcus & Millichap and then worked as an Acquisitions Analyst for Global Tower Partners, the largest privately-owned tower operator in the U.S. Mr. Ring graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Economics with Business Emphasis and Business Minor.
Mr. Shaffer is a Senior Analyst responsible for underwriting and closing real estate debt and equity investments. Prior to joining Trez Forman Capital, Mr. Shaffer worked for the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York as a Lead Commercial Loan Analyst. At the FHLBNY, Mr. Shaffer analyzed the commercial real estate loans pledged to the FHLBNY as collateral from their member banks as well as evaluating their origination and asset management practices. Prior to the FHLBNY, he worked at ProLogis as an Associate where his responsibilities included providing underwriting and due diligence for commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. Shaffer graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and Management and a MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver.
